My favorite behind-the-scenes online business resources + tools

I’ve done a few resource roundup posts recently, so today I’m sharing some of my favorite online business resources + tools to help you behind-the-scenes:

Un-Boring Business Coaching

My favorite tool behind-the-scenes in my business is the group coaching program, Wandering Aimfully (WAIM) by Jason + Caroline Zook. WAIM is where I can continue learning and getting feedback and being part of an incredibly creative community. Click here to read more about why I love WAIM and how you can join if you need support like this!

Finances

I use Mint for my personal budgeting and Quickbooks for my business finances and invoicing. For more resources from a certified accountant, I've learned the most from Amy Northard and Janet LeBlanc. Janet is such a WEALTH of information (accidental money pun!). Seriously, if I have tax or money questions, I ask Janet. She has a totally free workshop all about taxes for your online business / handmade shop, check it out here!

If you need help with planning your budget (business or personal), check out my Budget Planning Kit printables (only $7).

Planning + Organizing

If you need help with aaaall the behind-the-scenes of your business (product planning, client/project management, social media planning, blog planning, stats trackers, income/expense trackers, goal setting, and more!), check out my Online Business Planning Kit printables (only $20).

I think if you have a powerful task management/calendar tool and a great note-taking system, you can conquer the world. I use Asana and Evernote for this. Other great ones are Notion and Airtable. My favorite accountant Janet is also obsessed with Asana like me and has a great beginner's course called Asana for Makers.

If you need help keeping track of all your passwords and logins, check out LastPass. They're super affordable, user-friendly across multiple devices, and you can share logins with your team without revealing the passwords.

Hosting Online Courses

My favorite course platform is Teachery, I've hosted all my courses and classes here since Day 1. (Click here to read about why I love Teachery!)

I got a question via email about how I customize my Teachery courses to keep them on brand and recognizable as mine. What helps me is to pick a color palette and stick to that for every single setting. It can take some trial and error to see how the colors play best together, but it also tends to come naturally to me as a designer. If you want more help with customizing your Teachery courses, check out my friend Kim White's popular course called Teachery Makeover. Kim is a fellow WAIMer (Wandering Aimfully member), and she has transformed tons of Teachery courses, she knows her stuff! Check out her easy-to-follow course here, no design experience needed.

These are just a few of my favorite tools I use behind-the-scenes in my business, hope this was helpful to you! Here are other Resource Roundups to check out:
